CASE STUDY

Pure Fabs delivers Ministry of Defence ventilation contract.

Pure Fabs working alongside sister company Pure Vent was delighted to work on Project ANEMOI, a £22m commercial design and build, of three single storey accommodation blocks on top of mountains in the Falkland Islands.

Pure Fabs Director, Pete Connor worked closely with the design team to advise on the best technical and design options for the air handling units that had already been selected. The ductwork and its ancillary product groups were transported from the UK to the South Atlantic Archipelago by the MOD.

In addition Pure Fabs hosted and trained a lead team from the 39 Royal Engineer Regiment in the fabrication and installation of ventilation ductwork ensuring that the installation teams in the Falkland Islands were more than capable to complete the install.

Pete Connor said; “It was an absolute pleasure to host the teams from 65 Field Support Squadron 39 Engineer Regiment at our factory in Horwich, providing material handling equipment support and additional manpower to assist with the packing of the containers. The procurement process was rigorous but it was satisfying to know we delivered above and beyond their expectations.”

Staff Sgt Bradley requested that a range of ventilation items for procurement, be submitted to the military, to be considered for inclusion in the MOD’s codified-items construction materials catalogue.
